Facelift

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces: deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens, and folds and fat deposits appear on the neck. Facelifts counteract these problems by removing fat and tightening skin and muscles, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. Incisions are made in inconspicuous places such as behind the hairline and in natural folds of the face and ears, and scars fade to near invisibility in time. After surgery, some patients appear 10-15 years younger.

Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of the patient's field of vision. The procedure is usually performed in an office with local anesthesia in as little as 45 minutes. Blepharoplasty can be combined with a facelift or BOTOX® treatments to raise the eyebrows or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, crow's feet or dark circles under the eyes.

Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty

One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, rhinoplasty is performed to reshape, reduce or augment a person's nose, remove a hump, narrow nostril width, change the angle between the nose and the mouth, or to correct injury, birth defects, or other problems that affect breathing. Rhinoplasty is usually an outpatient procedure performed under either local or general anesthesia and lasts one to two hours. 

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct defects or deformities of the septum. The nasal septum is the separation between the two nostrils. A number of medical conditions may indicate a need for the procedure, including nasal air passage obstruction, a deviated septum, tumors, etc. Additionally, a septoplasty may be performed in conjunction with a rhinoplasty in order to ensure that the reshaping of the nose does not result in a reduction of the amount of breathing space. Patients who receive septoplasty can usually return home the same day or in the morning after following surgery.

Cheek/Neck/Brow lifts

Browlifts can revitalize drooping or lined foreheads, helping you to look less angry, sad or tired. Using either traditional or minimally invasive (endoscopic) methods, the muscles above the eyes are altered to smooth lines and raise the eyebrows for a more youthful appearance. The procedure is often combined with other operations such as blepharoplasty and facelifts to improve the look of the eyes and other areas of the face.

A neck lift or chin liposuction is performed to remove excess fat beneath the chin and tighten loose skin in the neck. A less invasive alternative to a facelift, the procedure can produce dramatic results in the patient whose chin and/or neck has sagged with age or after weight loss.

Earlobe Reductions

Many women suffer from stretched or torn earlobes from years of wearing heavy earrings. This simple, in office procedure can reverse this damage. The earlobes' contour is restored and new piercings can be done complimentary in our office as soon as two weeks after the procedure.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. Peel formulas and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.

Otoplasty (Ear Pinning)

Ear surgery for children or adults can set prominent ears back closer to the head and reduce the size of large ears. Surgery may also be helpful for "lop ear," "cupped ear" and "shell ear," large or stretched earlobes, and lobes with creases and wrinkles. The procedure lasts from two to three hours and may be performed in a hospital, office-based facility or an outpatient surgery center under general or local anesthesia.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion removes a layer of surface skin to improve the appearance of facial scarring due to acne, chicken pox, injury or other causes, as well as uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, tattoos, age spots and certain kinds of skin lesions. The skin is frozen, typically with a spray, and then abraded with a high-speed rotary instrument for a dramatically smoother, fresher look. After the procedure it is normal to feel a sensation similar to sunburn for a week or so, at which time most patients are able to return to work. The newly revealed skin will likely appear pinker than usual for two to three months. Patients should be sure to adequately protect skin from sunlight.

Lip Enhancement

Full and vivacious lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. Some of us, however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips, or our lips lose their fullness with age. But the appearance of our lips is now within our control. Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips and a drooping corner of the mouth are all areas that can be aided with injectable fillers. Fat Grafting

Fat grafting fills facial features with a patient's own fat. The fat used for fat transfer is extracted from the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks and injected into another area that requires volume enhancement and contouring.

The advantage of fat grafting is that the fat comes from a patient's own body. Patients cannot develop an allergic reaction such as those that may occur when external implant substances are introduced into the body. The body naturally accepts the injected fat.

Fat grafting can been used for correcting or improving:

• Facial aging such as sunken cheeks and deep nasolabial folds
• Thin lips
• Areas of body contour deformity after prior liposuction
• Facial scarring, e.g. acne scars
• Facial volume in conditions such as hemifacial atrophy
