I’m not going to hand you a menu and ask you to choose a procedure. You’re here for my opinion.
Maybe you’ve been looking at photographs and thinking, “I look tired.” Maybe you keep lifting a little piece of your face in the mirror. Maybe you called to ask about Botox because that’s the treatment you know. That is plenty to start with.
I want to understand what actually bothers you before we talk about fixing anything. What I notice and what you notice may be different. It is my job to get us on the same page.

I watch you talk.
Your face lives in motion. So does my assessment.
I watch what happens when you smile, when you raise your eyebrows, and when you tell me a story. The little smirk. The way one side moves differently. Some of those things are exactly what I want to keep.
There is usually a feature that catches me first—something beautiful that I want to bring forward. We talk about softening the distractions around it.
I’m a facial plastic surgeon, board certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and in Head and Neck Surgery. I can talk with you about surgical and nonsurgical options, and explain why I would choose one over another for your face.

What it costs.
You deserve to know the full cost of the plan we’re discussing. If your question is Botox, I plan precise units for your face; a general area range is a starting reference, not a flat fee for that area.

I’ll tell you what I think and why. You can tell me, “That’s not what bothers me,” or “I’m not ready for that.” Then we keep talking. I consider myself your partner.

I had someone tell me she drove around the parking lot because she was so nervous to come in. I wish I could put that worry down for you before you even get here.
You don’t have to do anything when you come. You can meet me, tell me what’s on your mind, and ask your questions. Some people are ready to make a plan. Some want time to think. I want you to feel comfortable telling me either one.

What is the Anti-Consult?
It is my name for a facial aesthetic consultation that begins with a conversation. I listen to what you notice, watch your face move, and explain what I think would help. You can ask questions and decide what feels right for you.
Is my consultation with Dr. Petro?
Yes. The complimentary Beauty Blueprint appointment linked here is with me, Dr. Melanie Petro. If you are calling to book, ask for a consultation with me.
How much does a consultation cost?
The Beauty Blueprint consultation is complimentary. Treatment is separate. I want you to understand the full cost of any treatment we discuss before you choose it.
How long is the appointment?
The complimentary consultation is scheduled for 20 minutes. If you want to discuss treatment at the same visit, tell my office when you book so we can help you choose the right appointment.
Do I need to know whether I want Botox, filler, lasers, or surgery?
No. You can come in with a question as simple as “Why do I look tired?” I will explain what I see and which options address it. You do not need to work out the treatment yourself.
Can I come in without having treatment?
Yes. You can come in, meet me, ask your questions, and go home to think. I never want you to feel pressured. A conversation does not obligate you to have a procedure.
What should I bring to a facial aesthetic consultation?
Bring your questions, the names and dates of previous treatments if you have them, and your medication and skin-care information. A photograph of yourself from a time you liked how you looked can help me understand what you miss. Tell me about an upcoming event, your budget, and anything you want to keep exactly as it is.
Can we talk about treatment I have had somewhere else?
Of course. Tell me what was done, what changed, and what bothers you now. Bring product names or records if you have them. I want to understand the history before recommending another step.
