Concern 09 / In the mirror

my face looks deflated

The Mirror Moment

my face looks deflated.

02 / The part you might not say out loud

The Fear Is Real

Will I just look bigger?

That is a useful concern to bring. More volume may not address the change you see. Ask which areas need support, what will be left alone and how the plan avoids adding volume that you do not want.

The Surgeon’s POV

Aging: unsolicited. unwanted. unsubscribed. 📧❌

But also — unavoidable.

The trick isn’t fighting it, it’s choosing HOW.

Volume and a lift are different things.

Hollowing, skin changes and tissue descent can happen together. Adding volume everywhere is not a substitute for deciding which change matters. Options may include a filler, a collagen-stimulating injectable, fat grafting or lifting, with different risks and recovery.

The choice is not just what can be done. It is what change is worth it to you, at the cost and recovery involved.

A few questions.

The things people ask.

Sculptra or filler?
The products work differently and have different indications and risks. Discuss the specific area, type of change and timeline rather than assuming a fixed sequence or combination.
How long until I see Sculptra?
Collagen-stimulating treatment develops gradually. The number of sessions, timing and durability vary; ask about the planned series and follow-up.
Will filler make my face look bigger?

Added volume can overwhelm the contours someone wanted to preserve. The amount needs to make sense for the existing anatomy, including previous treatment.

I lost weight and my face went with it. What now?
Assess volume, skin laxity and tissue position together. Adding volume does not solve every change after weight loss, and no treatment can promise to grow the skin back.

At home, too

I want between-visit skin care to fit your skin, too. Bring your routine; we’ll look at it together. Skin care has a different role from changing facial structure or removing excess skin.
