The lower lid, it’s like a little hammock. And it goes from here to here. And it holds the skin up. And if it gets weakened, it’ll fall down.

…you know when the skin under your eye gets crepey… you want it to regenerate. You don’t just want to put filler under there and see a bubble. Some people are great candidates for it, but not all of us.
Lower eyelids
Bags, and the hammock that has weakened under them. What is done depends on what is actually there — and I show you, in the mirror, before anything is decided.
The brow
Micro movements first: a few units of tox where the brow is being pulled down. Surgery when the brow itself has fallen.
Under-eye hollows
Filler when the anatomy is right for it; regeneration — lasers, SkinPen — when the skin is the problem.
The brow lift
When the brow itself has fallen onto the lid and tox has lifted it as far as it can: the lateral brow lift, through the hairline, lifts the outer brow where it matters. Macro movements, saved for when the micro ones are spent.
Lashes, and the lid that sits low
Latisse for the lashes that thinned. Upneeq drops for the lid that sits a little low without surgery — it lifts for the day, and it tells us whether surgery would.

What people ask before they decide.
What is the recovery from eyelid surgery?
Sutures come out at a week. Bruising and swelling are worst in the first days and settle over two to three weeks; most women are comfortable in public in dark glasses within days and without them soon after. Nothing here is a promise — healing is yours, not mine to predict.
No one can predict the vagaries of wound healing. And that’s the truth.
Will I look surprised, or different?
The goal is your eyes, rested. I remove skin conservatively and leave the shape of your eye alone. You should look like you did, never like you never did.
Filler or surgery for under my eyes?
It depends on what is actually there. A hollow with good skin can take filler; crepey skin wants regeneration; a bag wants surgery. This is the one place where you should never let more than one person work.
It can be not perfect, but if it’s not perfect, you always want to have gone to one person, because you don’t want more than one person messing with it.
Where is the surgery done?
In my own office surgery suite, by me, usually in about two hours or less. The details of anesthesia and the day itself are part of the consultation.
